This pair of earrings has two hand-folded miniature brown paper cranes, lacquered for strength and durability (very sturdy! Carefully lacquered paper maintains a bit of flex, so they’re reinforced but not brittle), arranged vertically with glass beads in pearl white and iridescent mauve, with a touch of gold for sparkle, on stainless steel hardware. The wingspan of each crane measures just shy of ¾" (super tiny!), and the bottom of the earring hangs a little bit higher than 1.5" from the earlobe. Paper cranes are lightweight but substantial, and a few glass beads give these earrings a real good dangle.

I acquired these beauts from my friend and colleague BoDusto. He’s a werehouse, and he lives in a warehouse because it’s the only place he’ll fit when there’s a full moon. He says, “people call me Dusty, but I wish they wouldn’t.”
